Well about 12:30 on Thursday morning I awoke to a surprise! My water had started leaking. Ryan was out of bed quicker than I had ever seen him move. We were at the hospital within the next half hour. After a quick check we were admitted and they started pitocin to bring on labor. We dealt with contractions and Ryan was an incredible coach. After several intense hours and when couldn't take it anymore I begged for the epidural. That was about 7:30. At 9:40 it was time to push. Chelsea's heart rate drastically dropped and the doctor was nowhere to be found. He had just scrubbed up for a C section. The nurse called for a doctor stat and someone from the doctor's office came rushing over- just in time. Chelsea was born at 10:11 on Thursday morning. It was 30 minutes before we were able to see her because she was not breathing or responding. It was the longest 30 minutes of my life. After our long wait Chelsea was everything we hoped. She has all 10 fingers (very long and daintly) and 10 toes. She is just a precious treasure. Her earlobes are her daddy's and her lips are like her mom's. We just love looking at her and stay in awe of what a miracle we are blessed with. Here are just some of the numerous pictures taken so far.
